We love farm visits and the opportunity to share our highlands! If you’d like to schedule a visit please go to our calendar to pick an available date and time. In the event you make a purchase, your farm visit fee will be applied to your purchase.

Yes we do. Contracts allow both parties to make sure all aspects of a sale have been covered and all expectations are met on both sides.
- 03
Oftentimes we can provide transport for you at an additional fee. If you live in an area where we do not transport to, we have a couple very trustworthy options we can refer you to.

This is a good question. We do not advise breeding heifers until they are about 24 months old. They often start coming into heat before then and a bull will be both able and quite interested in breeding much younger than 24 months old. For this reason, we recommend all heifers be kept separate from bulls capable of breeding from the age of about 8 months until they are ready to be bred.

On average a fully grown highland will weigh between 900lbs – 1800lbs with bulls sometimes weighing even more. Their height generally measures between 3.5ft and 4.5ft tall. We do not place importance on height or color over quality of conformation.

Absolutely not. There is a myth that you can bond better with a bottle raised calf over a mother raised calf. This is simply not true information. Bottle babies are most often bratty and dangerous because they relate a human to food and a human to a herd mate. Watch how cattle treat their herd mates and ask yourself if you want to be pushed, headbutted, kicked, run into, run over, mounted, or any other manner of shenanigans they carry on with each other about. Our calves are socialized, petted, handled, and gentle before they go to a new home or they don’t go to a new home.

We believe you can pay for good nutrition or you can buy vet visits. Lost calves or calves born weak and needing a lot of help getting started are a big expense to farms. Not feeding young animals well causes them to not develop as fully as they should and adults need proper nutrition to do their jobs. We will provide you a detailed list of the nutritional program any animal you purchase from us is on prior to her/him going home. If you are not currently a customer of ours, we are still glad to consult with you regarding your nutrition program for a fee.

We feel disease testing is a very important thing for any pet or breeding program to prevent loss of investment. Animals can look perfectly fine but be carrying lethal diseases. Sometimes tests reveal an animal is simply a carrier of something and it may or may not pose an issue in the future.

We do not. This is a personal choice that each farm should make based on their preferences and exposure risks. Heifers required to be BANGS vaccinated to enter a BANGS state will be vaccinated upon buyer request.

We believe it does. We experience the fewest issues with calving in fall weather. Cold weather equals few or no flies, banding bulls is easy over the winter, no summer pneumonia to worry with, mother cows are not going through summer slump from the heat, and do not lose weight nursing their calves through cool and cold weather. Early spring is our second choice, a couple of months at very least before the weather gets hot.

Our cattle range from $3000 for pet steers and up from there. You can expect bulls to be more than steers and heifers to start at $8500. Here is what you get from us and some factors that go into our pricing:
· We are here to support you both during and after your purchase.
· A healthy, disease tested animal that is well started on halter, leading, and is comfortable being handled. (Freezer steers may not be halter broke but will still have been handled and not wild.)
· Complete health history provided including parent information, birthweight if known, all medications and dewormer given, and copies of any testing done.
· A guarantee you are never going to get an animal from us that has been bought at an auction just to be resold that we have no idea about it’s past history, parents, etc. Our program is quality over quantity.
